Venice street view - Virtual Paintout

There is a great website called Virtual Paintout.  The site owner posts a location each month and you choose an image using Google street view, paint it, and post it.  It is really fun to see what people come up with.  I didn't get this one done in time to post, but it was fun to do anyway.

 

On the Bay

We took a little day trip to ride the ferry with Grammie and GranDad and the Santa Cruz cousins.  It's a nice little ride from the City to Sausalito and back.  We had perfect weather for the trip. 

 

 

 On the way back the ferry was full of people on bikes.  It is a fun trip to ride bikes from SF across the Golden Gate Bridge and then take the ferry back to the city.  I did that once years ago when I was living in Davis.  I'll do it again when the kids can do it too.

A little catching up... New Year 2014

It's been awhile since I posted anything so I'll bring you up to date with a few pictures.

For New Year's Eve we had plans to go play in the snow, but the unusually warm weather and general lack of snow made that seem much less interesting.  So we invited our friends to come visit us instead.  We went to the beach and lit sparklers and visited the Redwoods.  Fun things made better with friends.  I have to say it is nice to have a 12 year old girl around.  The little ones want to make cookies and she just makes it all happen.  Wonderful.
